AIM

To introduce and explore the benefits of support and supervision within a helpline setting. To equip participants with the necessary skills to develop appropriate procedures within their own organisations and to carry out effective supervision using a structured approach.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

Suitable for helpline managers or co-ordinators who have responsibility for delivering high quality support and supervision for paid or volunteer helpline workers.

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • Understand the role of both support and supervision.

  • Evaluate different methods of support and supervision.

  • Give feedback to helpline workers which aids in the development of skills and moves towards agreed targets.

  • Manage the process of the supervision session.

This is a one day course.
