AIM

A one day course which will identify and explore the key issues which need to be considered before setting up a helpline service.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

Suitable for anyone setting up a new helpline service or looking to re-focus an existing service.

Objectives

By the end of the session participants will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose and objectives of their proposed helpline, carry out a SWOT analysis, and make an informed decision on its viability.

  • Identify issues to consider when drawing up a budget for the running costs of their service, and consider options on how to meet those costs.

  • Decide what services will be provided and how best to provide them.

  • Manage all staffing processes necessary to run a helpline effectively.

  • Develop appropriate policies and procedures for a helpline.

The course is a one day course.
