Back To Home
The Mental Health Helpline Worker Training Programme is a national training programme accredited by the Open College Network. Members of the Mental Health Helplines Partnership will be able to deliver the programme under the auspices of the Telephone Helplines Association’s quality assurance for the programme, subject to the requirements of the Open College Network.

There are five units of training:

  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Services and Routes to Help
  • Telephone Boundaries
  • Telephone Helpline Skills
  • Working on a Mental Health Helpline

The training is designed for Mental Health Helplines operating in England who are Mental Health Helplines Partnership (MHHP) members. MHHP members wanting to access the training materials online will need to contact the Telephone Helplines Association for information on how to register to run the programme.

Tutors will supply trainees with a password to access the Mental Health Helplines Training forums.
