THA announce new Chief Executive

We are very pleased to let you know that we have appointed Justin Irwin to be interim Chief Executive of the Telephone Helplines Association (THA). He takes up his appointment on 2nd April 2007.

Justin has extensive experience of work with charities, and in particular with helplines. His previous experience includes work with Samaritans, Get Connected, ChildLine and with SANE. He has recently returned from a period abroad.

His priorities will include securing THA’s long term financial soundness and ensuring that we continue to have the staff in place to be able to deliver, both to our members and to other agencies, the services, especially in training and quality standard accreditation, for which we have become renowned and are uniquely well placed to deliver.
