1.  Buy the Workbook

  • photocopy-friendly for use within a helpline, A4, clear print black on cream

  • robust ring-binder with room for helplines to insert other documents.

  • in 12 sections based on the process of a call

  • with extensive guidance on what the Standard means in practice

  • use for self-assessment and as evidence for external assessment

  • available by completing the THA publications order form

2.  Apply to THA for external assessment and accreditation

  • accreditation lasts for 3 years

  • assessment in 2 stages

  • desk top audit of Workbook

  • external assessment visit

  • written report at either stage if helpline does not reach the Standard, advising what changes are needed to develop the helpline to that level
