The Telephone Helplines Association (THA) is recognised as being the main source of specialist information relating to the setting up and running of non-profit helplines in the UK and has detailed information about over 1000 services. We are the lead provider of advice, consultancy and training on matters relating to the provision of quality helpline services. The THA Quality standard is on the only quality system specifically designed for used by non-profit telephone helplines. Our 400 members include most of the national helpline services such as The Samaritans, Shelterline, ChildLine and Cancerbacup as well as many local and regional services. Between them our members handle over 22 million calls per year. Find out about The Mental Health Helplines
