Hi

THA is operating a three-year programme funded from a City Bridge Trust grant. The aim of the programme is help voluntary agencies operating within London to make better use of information and communications technology (ICT). This is achieved by providing funded consultancy. The scheme depends upon achieving real outcomes for Londoners. Beneficiaries in the current year include Age Concern Hounslow, Brent Mind, Merton and Lambeth CAB and Richmond AID.

If you are a voluntary organisation and operate an information, advice or support project within London, whether it is the only thing you do or is a separate, discrete project serving part or all of the capital, then you are eligible to apply for a place on the 2011/12 programme. You don't need to operate a formal 'helpline'.

If you are successful, we will undertake a review of your use of information and communications technology (ICT). We will then make recommendations for how you can use it more efficiently and effectively to serve Londoners better, or to serve more of them. What is funded is our time – there is no provision for capital expenditure on ICT - but our recommendations will be for modest outlay and ideally savings. We then agree which recommendations you will implement and how you will monitor the results, and we return to report on your progress.

If you would like to be considered for a place in 2011/12, please drop me an email outlining:

1  The strategic objectives of your organisation

2  The services you provide and their benefits to Londoners

3  One or two specific objectives for which you need ICT support, and your current situation in respect of those objectives (e.g. we would like to answer 60% of calls, and at the moment we only answer 35%)

4  Your likely funding situation for 2011/12

5  Your capacity to help us with an assessment we would conduct by 30 June 2011

6  Your capacity to implement agreed recommendations by 30 November 2011

7  Your capacity to monitor by 28 February 2012 the results of what has been implemented

8  A lead contact for this project, and provision for continuity in the event that this person is not available or leaves

Any questions call us on 020 7089 6321.

Thanks
