The Mental Health Helplines Partnership (mhhp) is a consortium of mental health helplines in England funded by the Department of Health. The aim of the mhhp is to benefit users and carers by supporting helplines to develop capacity, access, choice, quality and governance.

The Telephone Helplines Association has been involved with the mhhp since its inception in 2001. We continue our active involvement with the following main projects:-

The Mental Health Helplines Quality Standard

The Mental Health Helplines Quality Standard was designed by the Telephone Helplines Association in consultation with the mhhp with funding from the Department of Health. Designed for mental health helplines operating in England who are mhhp members, the THA assesses mhhp members against this Standard. Accreditation costs are funded through the mhhp.
